TUI Marathon - Palma de Mallorca - 17 Oct 2010

This annual marathon is open to everybody from the competitive athlete to first time recreational runners. With no age restrictions there is also a good opportunity to bring the kids along. In order to cater for all levels of athlete, there will be a number of different events to enter (including the main marathon, half marathon, 10 km run and a Kids run) so there really is something for everyone!

The main event takes runners right through the middle of Palma’s old town, past the cathedral, across the Plaza Mayor and Cuesta del Gas so is a particularly scenic run if you’re interested in taking in the views as well. If you simply wish to watch the exciting event, spectators are also well catered for. There will be lots of entertainment on offer including Majorcan music playing along the route, a marathon market, children’s fun & entertainment, as well as a wide choice of places to eat and drink.
